Rooted in the Centre of Utrecht

Nestled in one of Utrecht’s most historic streets, Brass Hotel blends the charm of a 17th-century building with the ease of contemporary design. Once part of the city’s vibrant merchant district, the property has been lovingly restored to preserve its original character — high ceilings, tall windows, and a sense of quiet grandeur.

Today, Brass stands as a boutique retreat for travellers seeking connection — to the city, to its culture, and to a slower rhythm of hospitality. Seamless self check-in ensures a relaxed, flexible arrival, while the hotel’s intimate atmosphere, elegant rooms, and the Indonesian flavours of Restaurant Kembar downstairs offer more than a place to stay; they reflect Utrecht’s timeless spirit.

Kembar Restaurant

On the ground floor of Brass Hotel, you’ll find Kembar – a modern Indonesian bistro run by three brothers with a shared passion for flavour and hospitality. Here, you’ll experience the vibrant tastes of Indonesia in a contemporary setting — no warung vibe, but all the warmth of home.

During the day, Kembar serves Indonesian classics on ciabatta, such as ayam madu (sweet and spicy chicken) and daging rendang. In the evening, the menu shifts to rice and noodle dishes, with five kinds of satay taking centre stage. Pair your meal with a crafted cocktail and enjoy the view of the Dom Tower from this charming 17th-century building in the heart of Utrecht.
